Today we are happy to release the last planned feature of Kinetic Assistant — Aerotow! This is a present for all glider pilots as towing brings MSFS soaring to a completely new level. Now you can ask your friend to deliver you into the air, or take a tug role by yourself. You always can be attached to the AI aircraft as well, so it will be a good idea to put the AI plane as a tow-taxi into your favorite gliding airport and train your skills without limits.

Thermals improved as well — now you will experience smooth airflow conditions inside of the thermals, even if they are not part of the weather system.

And last — all Assistant features carefully tested with only fully working and freeware glider add-on for MSFS — DG Flugzeugbau DG-808S.

Please check description carefully, as many things was changed.

Don’t forget it is opensource, so feel free to make some experiments and share you results.

Next update for the Cloud Assistant. New tab Thermals was added — it is not sort of weather simulation script, but simple gameplay element — you can load Userpoints CSV list (made in Little Navmap) where position and radius set for each thermal manually.

Controls and sound notifier settings added — now you can attach program functions to existing MSFS event (light only at the moment).

And all three other features improved — winch became smoother, catapult with arrestors more stable.

Small hotfix for Legacy Importer available for download. If you had problems with importing gliders — it will help to fix wrong engine value to make it flyable.

Also news counter added — as we are working on several projects at the same time, you may be interested in other mods and programs development progress. It will work only if updates check not blocked.

Last release for this year. It was tough for sure. Let’s make next one better. See ya next year!

Ultralight motorized glider updated — textures quality improved, some flight model problems fixed.

And new option now available in installer — you may not just import data from FSX, but also update already imported aircraft.

Another update. This time it contain various improvements: upscaled and remastered cockpit textures (gauges still waiting for their time), engine and aerodynamics data fixes. Instruments greatly improved as well — realistic total energy calculation provide better gliding experience, everyone say thank you to Ian «B21» Lewis for the guidance (sink rate compensation not implemented yet) .

You can turn off variometer tone by Alt+A shortkey.

You can test out new update of DG-808S add-on: some flight model adjustments was made and installer issues fixed.

Next update of DG-808S upgrade project available for download.

A lot of flight model adjustments made its in-air behavior much closer to reality, and working yaw string will help you to catch the wind and raise to the clouds!

Known issue: if you are updating already installed aircraft, you have to remove «dg808s_CVT_» folder inside of Community manually. It will be fixed in next update.

New importer update just released.

You can find new fixes in Engine tab for turbines — idle and high RPM percentage values, they are positively affect stability of the engines (thanks Technotech for the tip).

Also in Cockpit tab (Full import mode) single RPM or TORQUE gauge will be highlighted depending on current engine type, do not insert both or engines state of your turboprop/jet plane will be not visible (reported by maxx2504/Micha). Cockpit section insertion will always set default values without request.
